Tetsuwan Birdy Decode

AKA: Birdy the Mighty: Decode
Sci-Fi, Adventure - 2008 (TV)

Ranking: 508

Federation investigator Birdy chases the space criminal Geega through space to Earth, where he hides in the entertainment industry under a human disguise. Birdy goes undercover herself, posing as famous model “Arita Shion” that often uses a ‘space girl look. A male student, Senkawa, stumbles upon a fight between the two one night in an abandoned building only to be severed in half as he is used as a shield by Geega against Birdy. Birdy heals him from imminent death in some fashion- but Senkawas body, and life, are now changed and permanently linked to Birdy. (Source: ANN)

Reviews

My one caveat is that while the build-up to the ending is great, the final two episodes are a bit of a let down. In a way, it suffers from the same problem a lot of mystery novels have: the suspense and the buildup is bigger and more exciting than the actual ending. Hopefully the second season, which is airing right now, will make up for that. - ThemAnime

When I finished the series I did found out it was very enjoyable. To be honest they could have dropped all the bounce and ecchiness, because the story alone in my opninion is really appealing enough for the larger public. - IMDB (pierre-roep)
